There are no default libraries included in this build, is that intentional?

Yes,
Libraries not included intentionally for size reason.
I hope to make a final release soon.

Can other libraries already created work?
#2 Rob (Homepage) on 2013-02-22 03:49
ABSOLUTELY!
Libraries are the same between Windows/Linux/OSX !

Strangely when I compile from source with unpatched wxWidgets, I san see zone borders, but I cannot see them in this build.

Hey Marco,

KiCad's stable branch has been updated a few days ago. Will you be making a precompiled release for MacOS, too? That would be really nice!

Keep up your great work!

Thanks, Johannes

Hi,

When I run this build of Kicad with the default libraries, I see the following error:

IO_ERROR: May not load millimeter legacy library file into 'Pcbnew compiled for
deci-mils'

from /Users/marco/Development/kicad/kicad/pcbnew/legacy_plugin.cpp :
ReadAndVerifyHeader() : line 3962

Is there a build option you've turned on that causes this issue?

Thanks,
Ben

Hey Marco,

will you be releasing a stable release based on r4005 in the stable branch?

Cheers and keep up the good work!

Johannes
